The Operations Division is responsible for providing fire suppression and emergency medical services to the residents of the Village of Barrington and the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District. The division is responsible for training and equiping our fire and emergency medical personnel, as well as maintaining all of the equipment needed to repond to fire and emergency calls.

Major Service Activities

• Provide residents of the Village and the District with the services necessary to control fires

• Respond to a wide range of specialized needs, including rescue and extraction functions

• Provide basic and advanced emergency medical services and ambulance transportation to persons in need

• Maintain the Department's capacity to provide services, by training personnel in a wide range of general and specialized fire and medical disciplines.

• Maintain the Department's emergency vehicles, specialized equipment, and communication equipment

The Fire Department offers blood pressure checks weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
