This Barrington tradition includes five days of food, great music, and wonderful family entertainment. Located in the north commuter lot of the Metra Train Station, the festival features children’s entertainment daily and live musical entertainment at night. Advocate Good Shepherd Family Fitness Run Tuesday, July 4, 7:15 a.m.
The annual Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Family Fitness Run features a 10k run through Barrington Hills, a 5k run/ walk and a 2k walk through the streets of Barrington. Fourth of July Parade Tuesday, July 4, 10:00 a.m. The 4th of July Parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. on Main Street, beginning at Barrington High School and ending at the train station. This year’s theme is “Celebrating America's Superheroes.” In addition to the parade, the committee is hosting the annual food drive. Please bring a canned food item for our local food pantry. Barrington's White House Open House & Reading of Declaration of Independence July 4, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m (Immediately following the parade)
Join friends and neighbors at Barrington’s White House Open House. Docents will provide historical information about this meticulously renovated 1898 mansion, including details on its original owners. Barrington resident Tim Dunn will read the Declaration of Independence from the front porch of Barrington's White House. Tim is a former BHS teacher and great-nephew of Arnett C.
