Municipal Elections to be Held April 2, 2019
Beginning September 18, 2018, candidates wishing to run in the April 2019 Consolidated Election may begin circulating petitions for nomination. The first date to file petitions with the Village Clerk is December 10, 2018 and the last date to file petitions is December 17, 2018. A Candidates Guide is available for candidates at the Village Hall, 200 South Hough Street. This Guide has been issued by the State Board of Elections to provide information and requirements for filing for prospective candidates seeking office at the local municipal level in 2019. Officials to be elected for the Village of Barrington includes three Village Trustee 4-year term seats.
Requirements for filing petitions are included in the Guide. The Village Clerk will accept petitions only at the Barrington Village Hall, 200 South Hough Street, Barrington, Illinois, during the regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, on the last day for filing, the Village Hall will be open until 5:00 p.m.
