Current Construction Information – Updated July 6, 2017

Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project

Over the last several years, the Village completed a comprehensive Sanitary Sewer Study which determined a major sanitary sewer line that conveys flow from the south side of town to the north side is in poor condition, and requires replacement. The project will replace approximately one mile of outdated and deficient sanitary sewer, much of which was installed prior to 1950.

The Village of Barrington is currently in the construction phase of this project and more information can be found on our project specific update page located here: http://www.barrington-il.gov/ssrp.

2017 Road Patching Program

The 2017 Village road patching program is set to begin construction in mid to late July.  This work includes about 5,000 square yards of proposed patching locations throughout the Village. Additionally, a portion of Fox Glove Lane and Wyngate Drive will be resurfaced under this contract. Residents with any direct driveway or roadway impacts will receive notification prior to any driveway or roadway closures.

Development on Lageshulte

Private development is underway at 150-200 Lageshulte this summer. Please note that occasional road shutdowns to allow for new utility connections may take place but will be coordinated with the Fire, Police and Public Works departments and will only occur within the hours of 9am-3pm.
