Current Construction Information – Updated October 21, 2016

Memorial Park Reconstruction
Construction is complete at Memorial Park. The park has now open to the public.

Cook Street and Station Street Intersection Improvements
Work has begun on the Cook Street and Station Street Intersection. Copenhaver Construction is currently working on removing the curbs, paver blocks and is preparing to pour the new curbs, crosswalk and install the new accessible ramps. The southwest corner of the intersection has been reopened to traffic, and work has shifted to the northwest corner of the intersection. The street light has been relocated. The northwest corner of the intersection will be closed the week of October 24th for reconstruction. The paving of the intersection will be completed the week of October 31st, with all work scheduled to be completed by November 4th.

As part of this project, the planters on three sides of the intersection are being removed to make way for movable planter pots.

All of the businesses in the intersection area are open during construction.

Outside Agency Construction Projects 2016
Lake County DOT – Hart Road and Route 14 Intersection - The Lake County Division of Transportation is currently finalizing design and land acquisition for the Hart Road and Route 14 Intersection Improvement Project.

IDOT – Dundee Road and Grove Avenue Intersection Improvements – IDOT is preparing to go out for bid for intersection improvements at Dundee Road and Grove Avenue. This improvements will include the addition of a traffic signal, bike path and road repaving. This work is anticipated to begin later this fall or early next year. Additional details will be provided as the project nears.
