The Village’s Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project is currently working on sidewalk, roadway and parkway restoration. The intersection of Grove Avenue and Russell Street is closed for roadway and sidewalk improvements. The intersection of Summit Avenue and Russell Street has been reopened to traffic and a new pedestrian detour has been signed. Russell Street between Grove Street and Summit Street, and Spring Street between Russell Street and Lincoln Avenue remains closed. Please consider alternate vehicle and pedestrian routes during this time. Please reference the map for these closure locations as well as adjacent streets which will be open to local traffic only. Residents directly affected by closure or local traffic only have been notified via hand delivered flyers which contain additional details.
Due to this construction, a section of the South Commuter Parking Lot remains closed to accommodate necessary equipment, staging, and work. The Village has secured additional temporary parking spots which will be available by South Commuter Permit only. For more information, please visit www.barrington-il.gov/parking.
Any updates to closure timelines and impending closure movements will be provided. All work is weather dependent and the timeline and progression may be altered as necessary.
If you should have any questions please contact the Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project Hotline at 847-620-4650 or email@example.com. Any issues outside of working hours can be directed to the police non-emergency number at 847-304-3300.
