The Zoning Board of Appeals meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Village Board Room located at 200 S. Hough Street, Barrington, IL 60010
The Zoning Board of Appeals is a recommending body and therefore all recommendations from the Zoning Board of Appeals ultimately go before the Village Board of Trustees for final approval. It is important to note that applying for a variation or special use does not guarantee a positive recommendation from the Zoning Board of Appeals. On average, the petitions process takes between 10-12 weeks to complete. There are fees associated with all variations and special uses petitions. Before submitting a petition, please contact a Zoning Coordinator to schedule a preliminary review meeting.
