Barrington Resident Launches "Little Free Library"
If you've seen “Little Free Libraries” in other communities around the country, you've probably wondered when they would come to Barrington.They've started to pop up in various locations in our area, and the latest site is hosted by Barrington resident Diane Scholten at 805 S. Cook Street (next to Grove Ave. School).
A Little Free Library is a small, front-yard book exchange program where you take a free book and leave one when you can. Each year, nearly 10 million books are shared worldwide in over 36,000 locations through the program. Visit www.littlefreelibrary.org for more information.
