200 S. Hough Street  Barrington, IL 60010 | (847) 304-3400

Note: There is a lot of debris to chip, so it will likely take a week or two for crews to get through the entire Village. Thanks for your patience.

Due to recent high winds, Public Works staff will be taking the Chipper around town to collect windstorm damage starting Tuesday, May 28. Note: this special pickup is for windstorm damage only.

Please refrain from putting your branches on the curb until after garbage pickup, Friday, May 24, to ensure proper collection.

Place materials at the curb by 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, to avoid being missed. The Chipper will be making one pass – due to the volume of branches, not all pickups will be complete by Tuesday.

As a reminder, branches may be up to 10” in diameter and at least 4’ long. Stack branches neatly in a long, low pile on the parkway, with the cut end facing the curb.

Thanks for your cooperation!
