Expressions in Oils: The Collections of Frankie Johnson
Artist Frankie Johnson explores the dynamics of light and color in oils, using a variety of subjects as her inspiration, including figurative, portraits, landscapes and still lifes. Frankie has been the owner and director of the Main Street Art Center / School of Fine Art in Lake Zurich for 25 years and conducts workshops throughout the Midwest.
Frankie is an accomplished artist with over 35 years of oil painting experience. Frankie’s portraits hang throughout the country and she conducts workshops in all subject matter throughout the midwest. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America, where she has been juried into and awarded a prize in their highly competitive national and regional exhibitions. She’s also a member of the Portrait Society of America and the American Impressionist Society. She has won many awards through the Richeson 75 competition, Bold Brush on-line, Artist magazine, International Artist, National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society and many juried Plein Air Events.
Frankie’s is currently represented by Fine Line Designs Gallery in Door County, Wisconsin and Castle Gallery in Fort Wayne, IN.
