Help Barrington be PHOSPHORUS FREE! Resolution No. 09-3374
-
In 2009, The Village of Barrington passed a Resolution encouraging all residents to discontinue use of any products containing phosphates or phosphorus. The use of products containing phosphorus can damage our local water supply. Commonly used products containing phosphorus include lawn fertilizer, dishwashing detergents, and laundry detergents. For more information on the effects of phosphorus and how to reduce your family’s use of phosphorus laced products, visit Lake County - Lake Management Unit and select “Phosphorus Free Fertilizer” or “Phosphorus in Lake County”.
