The Village of Barrington is seeking an experienced, results-oriented professional for our Communications Manager position. Under the direction of the Village Manager, this person supports the Village organization as a whole by overseeing the day-to-day public and internal communications function of the Village, driving engagement strategy for public facing capital projects, administering the Village’s communication plan and style standards, and serving as the Village’s public information officer for non-Public Safety matters.

Position requires graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a BA in Communication, marketing, journalism, public relations or a closely related field and three to five years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Offers of employment are subject to successful completion of background check and drug screen.

Starting salary is $80,000 +/- depending on qualifications with competitive benefit package.
