Description:
The Village of Barrington Public Works Department seeks motivated individuals to work as Snowbird/Laborer. General duties include, but are not limited to, a variety of snow and ice control activities including snow plowing, salting and hand shoveling.
Requires an ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively, operate equipment safely and the ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
Applicants must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License, CDL B with airbrakes preferred, and be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Must also be able to successfully pass a pre-employment medical exam, including a drug screen, and a criminal background check.
Salary range is $20.00-$30.00.
