Managing Money: A Caregiver’s Guide to Finances – June 5
Join the Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA) for a presentation about managing caregiver finances. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 5 at the Barrington Area Library. To register, call the library at (847) 382-1300.
Barrington Children’s Choir Carnegie Choir Celebration – June 6
Barrington Children’s Choir (BCC) is performing in New York City at Carnegie Hall on June 17 at the National Youth Series Choral Festival! A send off event is planned for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at Barrington’s White House. The BCC Carnegie Choir and other BCC ensembles will perform. Refreshments by Wild Asparagus Catering. The event is free and open to the public – a wonderful opportunity to learn about BCC choral training (grades kindergarten through twelve), hear the choirs and celebrate summer! No tickets are required, but please RSVP online.

Barrington Junior Women’s Club’s Midsummer Masquerade – June 29
Barrington Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) invites you to a Midsummer Masquerade that promises to be a night of mystique and wonder that you can only experience by being there. Hosted at the stunning Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington Hills, guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Included in your ticket purchase, is a plated three course meal, open bar, and an exclusive tour of the Sanfilippo Residence. Guests will be astounded by the beauty of Art Glass, dozens of Movie Palace Chandeliers, hundreds of Edison and Victrola phonographs, and so much more. BJWC raises funds to provide monetary grants to local nonprofit organizations to benefit women, children, and seniors in Chicagoland, as well as provides scholarships to high school seniors. Help Restore the 100 Year Old Diamond in the Rough – The Catlow Theatre
Catlow 1927 Foundation, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded to restore The Catlow Theatre back to its original glory of 1927. This is a one-time capital campaign. Once the restoration is complete, the foundation will host a wide array of events in the multi-purpose venue that will fund the preservation and maintenance of The Catlow indefinitely.
The Catlow Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic places and serves as the architectural gem of Barrington Illinois. Catlow 1927 Foundation will preserve and prepare the Catlow Theatre for its next 100 years. To donate and become a part of history, visit www.Catlow1927.org.
